The past 20+ years have gifted Lauren with tremendous experiences and opportunities to put her passions front and center. Born a classic Aries and the first child of three, it’s no surprise my mother’s favorite book during my toddler years was entitled The Strong Willed Child. That innate drive pushed me forward for decades…always proving to the world around me that I could succeed, do what I should and demonstrate strength. I lived in persistently swift movements at high speed for years, never really knowing how to slow down, and most importantly how to see myself.

So, the Universe stepped in and physically “stopped” me. In a literal instant, life as I knew it was incomprehensible, and almost indescribable:

Ankylosing Spondylitis. Rare. Rarer in women.

My AS surfaced from sheer stressors…my body waved her white flag high and mighty.

Of all the conditions I could call mine, this one found me and owns the epicenter of my personal growth. Spending 20 years in healthcare advertising - tangentially helping humans reconcile their diagnoses - certainly did not help prepare me for mine.

Discovering my new truth, when life as I knew it had forever changed, seemed insurmountable.

It wasn’t.

With an intentional support system, coupled with perseverance and belief, the Universe demonstrated endless possibility.

I learned to employ strategies to go deep, seek wide and value vulnerability - all supporting an inner stillness so that I could finally listen to myself and be in the moment.
